Playsuits or Onesies....to play or not to play!
Playsuits come and go each season influenced by fashion trends but have stood the test of time since being created back in the early 1940s as the favourable choice of leisure and day wear.
Personally I love them and hence why I have chosen to put all my energy and passion into creating the ultimate playsuit for women. After researching forums and reading what retro loving dolls wore to bed I discovered there was a gap in the market and it was my mission to solve this problem with a vintage inspired playsuit.
My desire to create the most comfortable yet functional playsuit for both daywear and sleepwear has been my goal without compromising the overall look and quality of fabrics used.
My idea to create a playsuit for sleeping was simple, base the template on a bodysuit but get the look from vintage inspired designs. Another reason to create this playsuit was my issue with getting hot legs whilst sleeping and wanting the freedom to wear a one piece garment which could also be used as sweetly romantic loungewear in the comfort of my home.
In the past my frustrations with playsuits were:
1. having to unrobe totally when nature calls! Nothing is more frustrating than having to take off a playsuit and practically be naked whilst doing your business...for goodness sake, what if someone was to walk in!
2. wondering how I would cover up a spill on my onesie and explain why I looked like I had wet my pants.
3. not being able to fit in a playsuit properly if there were no adjustable straps...unfortunately it can look odd if you are too tall or too short.
What I love about my Ava and Rose collection is that:
1. our playsuits are made from cotton and therefore are super comfortable and breathable to sleep in. I personally sleep in each sample playsuit I create to ensure it is functional and comfortable and washes well in my front loader.
2. the bonafide selection of playsuits are limited and exclusive garments in classic prints such as polka dots, gingham, floral and kitschy designs.
3. the playsuits have no zips so they won't pinch your skin but instead have elastic lace trimming on the back of the bodice to sit close to the body without gaping at the front.
4. we understand that all women are different shapes and sizes and therefore have added adjustable bra straps to ensure the correct fit across the chest and back.
5. I have solved the issue of never having to unrobe when nature calls...there are hidden snap fasteners in the crotch which means the playsuit is now practical like a body suit.
6. if you spill anything on your playsuit you can order the matching wrap skirt to cover up your embarrassing moment!
Lastly, our playsuits fit ladies from size 8-16 so if you are looking for a new style of daywear which can be taken to bed then head over to our Etsy store and order your playsuit today.
